Xiaomi confirms list of flagship and Redmi Note phones to receive HyperOS update

Xiaomi has released the HyperOS version for its latest flagship phones, and other old models have also received the update. The Android 14-based software is Xiaomi’s biggest change in years after MIUI has been on the pipeline for over a decade.

The company says that HyperOS will not only be a mobile-centric platform, but other products will also be added to the ecosystem, including a car.

But for now, many current Xiaomi users are waiting to know when their devices will get the Android 14 based version. The company has confirmed its plans for at least the first half of 2024 during MWC 2024 this week, and now we know which Xiaomi and Redmi Note phones will be offered the update in the coming weeks.

Xiaomi phones will receive the HyperOS update in the first half of 2024

– Xiaomi 14 series (pre-installed)

Xiaomi 13 series

– Xiaomi 13T series

– Xiaomi 12 series

– Xiaomi 12T series

– Redmi Note 13 series

– Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G

– Redmi Note 12 Pro

– Redmi Note 12 5G

– Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro (pre-installed)

– Xiaomi Pad 6

– Redmi Pad SE

– Xiaomi Watch S3 (pre-installed)

– Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro (pre-installed)

As you guessed, Xiaomi’s new releases get the HyperOS version out of the box. Xiaomi Pad 6 has already received a new version, which also applies to the Xiaomi 13 Pro model.

But talking about Redmi Notes, Xiaomi is going to update the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Note 12 series. It’s likely that other phones will also receive the HyperOS update, but we’ll likely have to wait a little longer into the year to find out more from the company. Xiaomi says that the HyperOS version seems to give its software a fresh start, suggesting that we might see better privacy features (as in Android 14) and hopefully less bloatware from the brand.
